Korea University Sejong Campus announced that Kwon Ohseop, Chairman of L&P Cosmetic, has expressed his continued commitment to philanthropy for student welfare and university development, pledging to donate an additional 2 billion won over the next four years, with 500 million won contributed annually.

Previously, Chairman Kwon donated 1 billion won for the renovation of the student union building at Korea University’s Sejong Campus and supported student self-governance activities by establishing ‘MEDIHEAL Hall’ within the facility. This additional donation aims to continue supporting improvements to the university’s educational environment and the cultivation of future talented human resources.

Including this new pledge, the total amount of donations Chairman Kwon has contributed to Korea University has reached approximately 25.1 billion won. Since donating 12 billion won in 2016 for the construction of the ‘MEDIHEAL Earth and Environmental Hall,’ he has continuously supported the university’s development through various contributions, including athletic development funds, scholarships, and sponsorship of the rugby team. In 2023, he also donated 5 billion won to the Medical Development Fund, contributing to the establishment of the ‘MEDIHEAL Hall’ auditorium in the new building of Anam Hospital.

Guided by the teachings of his late mother, Mrs. Yu Imsoon, Chairman Kwon has long embraced the belief that “giving is not a choice, but a responsibility,” putting this philosophy into practice for society and future generations. The ‘MEDIHEAL Hall’ established in the student union building at Korea University’s Sejong Campus through his donation is expected to become a vibrant cultural and community space for students, carrying forward the spirit of challenge, responsibility, and sharing.
